THE AFRICAN CITY
It is raining
Not here
Several hills and valleys away
A storm has covered the land
There is a stampede
A large mask of dusty wind
A dark cloud looms in the sky
It is raining
Not here
Several cities and towns away
A revolution has engulfed the land
Anger has awakened in the hearts of many
A corrupt citadel of justice
The death of independence
It is raining
Not here
A child is buried in a pit latrine
A husband died in a drinking den
A woman offered her husband to a cult
The floods have consumed the land
It is raining
Not here
In the African city
Politics have killed the city
Cheap talk and threats
Empty promises and lies
Distrust...disgust...despise.. Disguise..Disillusion..
There is a storm coming
In the African City.....
Always teasing our minds with fresh insights
